David founded his practice in 1997 after leaving Bath University School of Architecture in 1994 but it really took off in 2012. Before that David worked for a number of international architectural and award-winning practices in London at a senior level. He has been an ARB registered architect since 1997 passing out of Kingston University.
David has a keen eye for beauty and aesthetics which is coupled with his technical architectural knowledge and the ability to bring both aspects together in a project.
The practice looks at each project on its own merits, considering the size, orientation, client's needs and requirements within the limitations of the current Planning guidelines.
Essentially our studio seeks to bring the experience gained from large scale projects to the smaller ones creating value for their clients.

While we eventually decided not to go ahead with our project (due to the amount of time we would need to move out of the property) David gave an extremely helpful consultation. He clearly set out all elements and implications of the project, and allowed us to evaluate whether to go ahead in an informed way. We will definitely be back in touch with David if we decide to go ahead at a date in the future.
David has been very helpful and has given us excellent and clear advice. He always replies to emails and is always friendly. Although we are still pre-purchase and therefore haven’t had any work done yet, we would certainly recommend David.
I contacted David as we are in the process of buying a house that needed extensive renovation and extension and he has been incredibly helpful in helping us shape our ideas on the best use of space within our budget.
David has made out time to respond to all our questions via emails and a meeting in his office.
We find David to be a very experienced architect and we know we’re in capable hands when our project does start. We’re looking forward to engaging David’s services when the house purchase completes.

‘In 2016 we approached David with a project I’ve had in mind for a number of years for the Palmerston Bistro, which has an excellent reputation for serving fine food and fine wines. Our kitchen was in desperate need of an upgrade and modernisation. We also had a number of criteria to minimise the down time of our operations during the implementation stage of the project. David and I quickly developed the idea to raise and re-roof and extend kitchen, toilet area and service yard creating a bright well-lit space, serviced, modern commercial kitchen to credit the quality of food served at the Palmerston. David assisted us in managing the design, engineering principles, allowing us to obtain planning consent in a conservation area in Lordship Lane – East Dulwich. He negotiated with the planning department enabling us to move forward with the project. David’s company and the design team produced the technical information to a high standard and quality. They worked closely with the kitchen specialists, structural engineer and myself to produce an inspiring result. One of the key criteria was to minimise the actual shut down time of the existing kitchen during the construction period and enabling us to reopen the kitchen after a 16 day period and minimise loss of revenue. Meanwhile, whilst protected and operational, the work above the kitchen was allowed to continue independently. We made this part of the design brief which David and Miguel integrated into the design and sequencing of the project. Materials were used efficiently and elegantly and [David's practice] were flexible enough to meet the demands of the programme and budget working closely with ourselves and our contractor. This project at a personal level was probably one of the larger construction projects I’ve taken on board and it was good to have the experience that [David and his practice] brought to the table. The project was completed successfully in early 2018 and we are really glad that we had them on board as part of the team driving things forward and managing the design.’

We are still in the process of selecting our architect, but David has been really responsive and considered for our constant changes to our original brief so far. David provided us with a very detailed and professional quote and spent a considerate amount of time with us to listen to our wish list and explain the building regulations. I would certainly recommend you meet with David to discuss your project.
