I decided to make a career change in 2011, when I left my post as a Director of a recruitment firm to study horticulture and garden design, gaining a Level 2 RHS certificate and an FdA in Garden Design. It's a real privilege to work with clients looking to make their gardens the very best they can be, and I am just as excited to work on an urban courtyard as a large country garden. My belief is that no one element is more important than any other, and that planting, hard landscaping and features all have to be considered together, and work harmoniously with one another. What is most crucial is that the garden space is designed exactly according to the needs of an individual client, and that their needs and wants are met, and every client's expectations exceeded.

Lewis provided us with an excellent garden design. He took on board our ideas and preferences and came back with a drawing that exceeded our expectations. We found him very helpful, knowledgeable and responsive and he kept in touch throughout the duration of the work, ensuring we were happy with the plans at each stage. I would definitely recommend Lewis as a garden designer and wouldn't hesitate to use his services again.
Natalie, Leeds. Front and rear garden redesign.
We hired Lewis to design a garden for our school, and the design he came up with exceeded our expectations. The features of the new garden are over and above what we had asked for, and we will now have wildflower areas, sensory planting, a bee and butterfly garden and productive areas. The children are very excited about the new garden, as are the teachers. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend [his company].
