I’ve worked on a whole range of building projects, but my true love is houses. I like the challenge of small bespoke projects and enjoy working closely with clients to get the most out of their homes and budgets. I have designed lots of different types of homes, from small houses to more major extensions, eco-homes to new-build country houses. Part of the joy of designing private houses is the ability to introduce the personality of the clients into the spaces, which makes each project unique from the next.

After 15 years working in the trade, I have experience in all the stages of project delivery, from planning applications to on-site inspections, and I am happy to tailor a scope or services with you that fits your job. I now have extensive 3D modelling skills, which means I can visualise your projects for you in quite fine detail. I find this really helps clients make sound decisions on the finishes and feel of the space, particularly if they are not used to standard 2D style plan drawings.

We had a very useful in-person meeting with Robert. We discussed initial ideas around how different ground floor remodelling configurations could look and work for us. Robert also gave us a good idea of how the proposed project stages would work and how an end to end solution would be managed.

Rob worked with me on our back garden design. We wanted something beautiful, simple and low maintenance. He gave us all that and more! Highly recommend.

We met Rob through the company he works for. He has worked with us for 2 years now on our house. We couldn’t be happier. He’s fun to work with and a great designer. We can’t wait to move in.

We were really lucky to have Rob as an architect on our flat refurbishment and loft extension. He found an inventive and intelligent use of the space, helping to create a beautiful home-to-be with a warm and modern feel. By listening to our ideas he was able to design a stylish flat with a sense of the natural world indoors with a clever use of skylights and organic materials, maximising the light. He worked hard to make comprehensive yet detailed plans for our builders, finding smart structural solutions where needed. Our once cramped 1.5 bed, 1 bathroom flat will now be transformed into 3 bed, two bathroom sanctuary in the city!
