Our studio’s work is centred around finding a considered solution to our client’s brief by taking the big idea and resolving it back to its simplest form, to a point where there is nothing more to add or to take away. We strive to find the delicate balance between craft, materials, functionality, sustainability, light and nature, whilst sensitively considering each detail to create a refined design.
Through this approach, our projects use a restrained material palette with the aim of elevating the beauty of the natural materials selected. The architecture becomes soft, light, sensitive, creating an environment that is beautiful, peaceful and timeless.

My wife and I appointed Alice and Joe to engage in a total redesign and expansion of our mid-size terraced house in north London, in 2017. From the outset they were warm, friendly and approachable and we felt hugely relieved that we’d found a team who brought impressive past experience, who genuinely listened to us as we tried to articulate our initial ideas and whom we were instantly able to trust.
They began by helping develop our own rather vague and tentative thoughts into a clear vision of what was achievable and complemented that with fresh and innovative ideas of their own while remaining wholly considerate of our budget throughout. They displayed wide-ranging and up-to-date knowledge of diverse materials, products and brands, and they proved to be diplomatic, personable and appropriately assertive negotiators with our building contractors, establishing a very healthy and mutually respectful relationship with them that facilitated a relatively easy build in our case. They were regular, punctual presences on site, and their attention to detail was impeccable and exacting, raising our own bar and that of the contractors considerably. Additionally, their aftercare was considerate and generous.
We continue to love spending time in our home and to sharing it with family and friends, and we feel hugely indebted to [them] for their excellent service.
