I set up our practice in London in 2009 with the sole aim of assisting homeowners with their residential projects.
Since then I have worked on more than 300 homes across London winning a number of awards. I am the Which? magazine expert architect and contributor and I was asked to provide expert advice on residential refurbishments, extensions and renovations.
Every project starts with an assessment of what the homeowners need and how this can be achieved in the context of their budget, the planning/Council requirements and the constraints of the property itself. No two properties are the same. Not two clients are the same. Rarely the same design solution works twice, it rarely does.
I look for a creative way to achieve the maximum possible for each project and I allow the particulars of the project and client requirements to drive the design development. What you end up with then is a variety of designs and spaces that are all appropriate and balanced and feasible and right.

Good first consultation, detailed and exactly what I was looking for.
George and I had an initial chat and he had already done a bit of local research which was great! He also sent over some really useful documents that clearly laid out the various stages of the project and what to expect and action at each stage. In the initial discussion he had definitely understood the brief and had already thought about some of the possibilities which aligned with mine. I was confident that he would do a very thorough job and would care about the project.

Although we may have been able to do our proposed works under permitted development, George recommended that we seek planning approval because of the contemporary nature of the design. He then managed the planning process with approval granted six weeks after initial submission.
Our works are scheduled to commence in 2017 and we can’t wait to see how the design translates through to a completed build that hopefully exceeds our expectations.”
