We work across a wide range of projects, from private dwellings, commercial redevelopments, Listed buildings, housing schemes, urban reactivation projects and civic regeneration. At the centre of all these project types is the idea of re-use, re-imagination, re-purpose and re-generation to create rich and interesting schemes which have minimal impact to the environment. As a practice we believe that architecture does not always have to be about bricks & mortar buildings; architecture without ego can hold the potential to be a vehicle of change for the better, to create places offer positive personal, social or economic change.

We believe working with us is more than just engaging in an architectural service, we believe we create long term relationships, built on trust and mutual respect.

We’re absolutely delighted with Studio BAD’s work and have recommended them to anyone who’ll listen! Their approach was faultless. Darren and Amanda listened, challenged and responded throughout. And we couldn’t be happier with their design - a family home that’s architecturally novel, sympathetic to the area, sustainable, and which cleverly maximised both the space and budget. Everyone keeps complimenting how it looks, which is thanks to them.
CEDARWOOD HOUSE SOUTH DOWNS NATIONAL PARK
Darren and the team at Studio BAD are really committed to working with us and being flexible. They have brilliant creative ideas and really seek to understand our needs. They are also appreciative of some of the challenges of working with a charity, and the changing demands that uncertain resources can bring. I can't recommend them highly enough.
NEW CHURCH
I've had the pleasure of working with Studio B.A.D over a number of years as a client. The collaborative approach that they bring to briefing was a revelation. Fun, thoughtful, informative & very successful. As a church with limited funds the 'meanwhile' approach to a major development has been fantastic, allowing us to deliver the services that we needed to quickly & then plan for longer term interventions as & when funds allow without compromising the functionality of the church.

On a personal level Darren & Roger are thoughtful & open to ideas as well as finding ways to connect with non-expert clients.

Studio B.A.D come very highly recommended & if you choose to appoint them your project will be richer & better for it
