Hi there! I'm Maria, an interior architect based in East Sussex, we also specialise in kitchen design including supply and fit.
I love what I do, from meeting new clients, establishing the brief, finding solutions, being on a building site, meeting trades, even negotiating my way through a challenge. I've always said a good designer is a primarily a problem solver and after 19 years of being a designer that is something I have come to do very well.
During this time I have worked on projects ranging from large scale residential redesigns to individual room designs. My design journey all those years ago started with bathroom and kitchen design. However these days most projects I take on are more than one room, as one room typically speaks to another so I feel it important to see that area as a whole. My interest isn't just to create a pretty space but an organised, cohesive home that is balanced and calm. My focus is never on a particular style, I let you, the end user dictate that, my general approach is to create a timeless space that evokes warmth and comfort through great craftsmanship, well curated furnishings and art work that compliment the space.

We’ve dealt with Maria twice before, and were very happy with our previous house projects, so when we bought the old church for conversion into a home, we knew where to turn.
Finding a kitchen style and design in particular that complemented the vaulted ceilings and arched stained glass windows of the church was always going to be a challenge. It was such an unusual space, and the dimensions were never going to be ideal for a standard range of units.
Maria showed us such patience throughout the project, especially in the kitchen, as we felt once we got this area right it would help things to flow throughout the rest of the house. Her computer mock-ups really helped to visualise this.
Well the end result looks stunning in its setting, and so many people have complimented us on it.
Would I recommend Maria? Yes.
Would we go to her for our next re design? Another big yes.

It is obviously a very big investment for anyone having an extension or redesign but at all times right from conception and planning, we felt confident that the end result would be worth it.
We were not disappointed.
Our lovely new open plan family kitchen dining area has transformed our house, and all your help throughout the process was outstanding. We were fussy from the outset, and you changed our designs several times, but it was never a problem for you, in fact you treated it more like a challenge than an inconvenience.
Your fitters and all the trades were great, excellent quality, accommodating and tidied up each day too, which was a bonus !
