I am an RIBA chartered Architect who owns a small, award winning practice in rural mid Wales. I am passionate about carefully crafted architecture using local materials.
I enjoy working closely with clients and develop projects by a process of rigorous investigation of the existing and historical context. The aim is to create buildings that belong uniquely to the people and place they occupy.
I particularly enjoy work involving Listed and traditional buildings, whether it be conversion of a derelict barn or bringing a new lease of life to an old house with a contemporary extension. Projects range in scale from one off houses to small extensions, but whatever the scale your project will be approached with energy and creativity.
I believe in a simple, sustainable approach to design and favour passive techniques such as thermal mass, natural ventilation and locally available materials wherever possible.
