We are just about to complete on a new mid terrace 3-bedroom victorian house in the Nightingale Triangle of Clapham South. The property is in bad shape, not having been renovated since the 70s. Our intention is to immediately submit planning for a kitchen extension and side infil, and a loft extension. We have an idea of what we want the look and feel of the house to be, but struggle with actionable steps to bring it all together. We would like someone to bounce ideas off of, and not just say yes to everything but provide an opinion based on their experience. We are not trying to achieve anything wacky or wild, but want to keep the victorian character and features of the property whilst bringing a more modern feel to it. We are looking for homely and cosy, not too modern and not too old school traditional. We will be restructuring the floor plan during the build and need help with the best floor plans, visualising the decisions. Then help with colours and themes.A few pictures attached for reference of the style we are currently looking at!We are looking at doing the kitchen extension first, with the loft in a couple of years. We would like to put in place a plan and a theme for the whole house, with items we can action over time as we will not be able to implements all the changes at one time. Our budget for the extension and refit is somewhere in the region of £150-£250k.
