A perfect match on Design for Me … to furnish a new apartment
The clients, Marisa and Justin, needed a talented interior designer to furnish their new apartment in Shoreditch. They found Design for Me and posted their project with just a few details:

“I am looking for a designer to design and source products for a large downstairs area in Shoreditch
Specifically I am looking to
1. Redesign and install a new kitchen
2. Create a new bedroom
3. Redesign and install a new bathroom
4. Design living area
5 Install sliding external doors out to outdoor area.”

Oana works both as an Architect and Interior Designer and seamlessly blends both disciplines in her approach. She is both member of the RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) and BIID (British Institute of Interior Design).

“Marisa and Justin’s penthouse was in an office to residential building conversion and many of the features lacked the warmth of a home – a basic industrial staircase, flooring, etc.
Their aim was to add an extra guest bedroom/study on the ground floor of the apartment by carving into a large and less than functional bathroom.
We moved the boiler/airing cupboard from the bathroom, made room for the guest bedroom and converted the bathroom into a Jack-and-Jill family bathroom with a freestanding bath.
We installed new oak flooring and clad the metal stairs with matching wood treads, installed an open kitchen with waterfall island, a new lighting scheme throughout and created seamless doors to the bathroom and guest room by installing frameless jib doors in the same veneer finish as the walls.”
