A perfect match on Design for Me…  to furnish a new build apartment

Natasha (the client) posted her project to Design for Me, looking for a talented interior designer to furnish her new build apartment in West London. After registering her project with just a few key details, we matched her with the best candidates and she received interest from a number of interior designers.

Natasha’s project description

I’m looking to furnish my new apartment expected to be ready in April 2019. The apartment is a modern build in Marylebone. I love clean, minimalist interiors, with a Scandi vibe! Attached are some floorplans from the brochure.

Budget: £10,000

 

 

Through Design for Me, Natasha narrowed down her search and ultimately found the perfect fit for her project in interior designers, Ivana and Dagmar:

 

Ivana: I believe, there is a strong connection between architecture and human psychology. Places influence us in many ways – they shape our emotions, create a sense of belonging, they are also strongly linked to our memories and they influence how comfortable we feel.
The human experience is the key driver of all my designs. Each project represents a unique brief that requires a unique approach. So understanding the site and the future users is always our first step and predetermines every other step in the design process; from the choice of materials and lighting to the final product specification.
I’m convinced that good quality design is life-enhancing. Therefore I am trying to deliver it in every project I undertake and make the world a better (and nicer) place for people to live in.

Our design approach for this apartment, located in Central London, reflects the very specific background and lifestyle of the owners – a young couple with a very strong relationship to the nature, who love hosting regular events for their friends at their home. Our design therefore draws inspiration from nature, and the chosen colour palette reflects the rich landscape tones. The overall layout of the house has been shaped by the way the different spaces within are used.
