Being one of the world’s first ‘build-it-yourself’ pieces of furniture this easy chair is all about functionality. It can easily be assembled and disassembled without tools, making it ideal for being on the move. The Safari chair´s obvious companion is the matching Safari stool made after the same simple `knock down` principle. The Safari chair is available in oil-treated light or smoked ash. The seat and backrest are available in four colors of canvas or ox hide. Designed by Kaare Klint in 1933.

Knitted Stools

by Claire Anne O’brien, a talented artist based in Hackney Wick. Here’s what she says about these stools:

Patterns are based on familiar elements such as Aran jumpers, fishing knots and willow baskets, re-imagined as a contemporary language of craft. Applied to simple furniture forms such as a bench, an ottoman and a chair, fabrics explore scale and construction using the unique properties of knit.
