It can easily be assembled and disassembled without tools, making it ideal for being on the move. The Safari chair´s obvious companion is the matching Safari stool made after the same simple `knock down` principle. The Safari chair is available in oil-treated light or smoked ash. The seat and backrest are available in four colors of canvas or ox hide. Designed by Kaare Klint in 1933.
Knitted Stools

Patterns are based on familiar elements such as Aran jumpers, fishing knots and willow baskets, re-imagined as a contemporary language of craft. Applied to simple furniture forms such as a bench, an ottoman and a chair, fabrics explore scale and construction using the unique properties of knit.

Have you ever gotten stuck in a crowded room and had to uncomfortably share half of your seat with someone else? Drawing inspiration from these awkward experiences, Pratt student Charlotte Kreitmann came up with an ingenious transforming chair design that won Inhabitat’s Best Student Design award last weekend at BKLYN Designs. Her design, dubbed Schair, is made of reclaimed wood turns from a chair into a loveseat and is the perfect solution for one person or two!
