We’ve found some beautiful pendant lights that would look great over a kitchen island, dining table or hallway. They are all surprisingly affordable too… high-street priced fittings masquerading as expensive designer ones! They are certainly centre pieces in any space (use them sparingly!) and bring colour and interest to any room.
The pendant lights in the image above are £260 each, designed by Tom Housden from Hand and Eye Studio. They are quite large with a diameter of 27cm so you could easily get away with one, but they do look fantastic together.
Hand-made in the UK our collection of terracotta lights combine the beautiful warm hues of kiln-fired terracotta with a subtle white glaze resulting in a design that is at home both in traditional and modern settings. The medium pendant is available in two styles – glazed with terracotta rim or simple terracotta. Both styles are glazed internally to ensure the best possible light quality. The medium terracotta works beautifully as a single pendant in a smaller room or as a group to create a strong visual statement in a larger space. To add variety we often hang both glaze styles together.
These ones are also in the same range and would look so good as kitchen island pendant lights! These are £235 each.
This pendant is the same shape and size as our ‘Terracotta Medium’ lamp but is made using white clay and has a brilliant white glaze for a clean modern look. To add some fun, the lamp comes with a choice of vibrant flex colours such as neon pink, neon orange or turquoise. Fans of serious minimalism can, however, opt for a grey flex.
This elegant hanging nickel pendant lights are from Pentreath and Hall. They have other shapes and sizes, but I like the simplicity of this one. It would look fantastic in a traditional styled home or a sleek modern home.

Pretty pastel pendant lights from Dutch online shop Gimmii. These small but perfect lights look great with a long cord – of which they have a choice of colours and textures. I can’t resist including this quote from their website, which I don’t think google translate has done a great job on. Either that, or the people at Gimmii are a little bit kookie. Maybe a bit of both;
Lamps M.OSS design are now almost iconic. Also this Pixoss pendant pink drips own unique style of Marcel Ossendrijver off. The combination of pure minimalist forms, speaking grizzled pastel colors with light wood: meal indeed!
FiligreeCreations on Esty. Its handmade and an absolute steal at £31.19… I’ll have 5 please! I’m not sure their description makes so much sense either;
